The initial capital cost was met through funding provided by the
founder Sheikh Mian Muhammad and his family. Subsequently family
and various public spirited individuals have provided for the renovation
and expansion of the facilities, as well as the deficit between
income and expenditure. The private room and their occupants are
charged market rates for medical care and rental. This helps generate
the bulk of the deficit incurred in the general wards. Shops were
built on the periphery of the hospital, along the road, and provide
rental income of approximately Rs.180,000 per month.
